Super S uses the same engine as S but was developed by a different team without Arc System Works.


There are a lot of notable changes that make it less preferred over S:

• Projectiles and Desperation moves weakened overall

• Moon, Mercury, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter all had a useful fireball removed and replaced by a worse fireball

• Neptune Fireball is charge 4,6 Punch that overrides the DP input which causes incorrect guard cancels

• No fixes to possible bugs; Port differences from S are the same, Uranus infinite is the same, Chibi backdash is the same, etc

• Saturn poorly added to game. (Kicks unblockable, weird throws, etc)

• Different sound design, almost sounds like a Sega Genesis game


The game is overall still playable since it was built on a good base, but it's changes make it undesirable for competitive play.

To give it a comparison; Imagine going from SF2 Hyper Fighting to SSF2 New Challengers--but they only added one new challenger who has unblockable kicks from poor coding, half of the returning cast got their fireball completely replaced by a bad fireball move, and the matches are just overall slower.

• Kick Throw (when close, 4/6HP)

• Rolling Kill (when close, 6/4HK) Throws in the opposite direction input using the staff, back throws go forward and visa versa.

• Air Back/Forward Throw (when close, 4/6HK)

Slow long fireball


• ブレスクラッシャー / Press Crusher (j.632LK/HK)

Big aerial fireball, does an absurd amount of damage considering how safe the LK version is.


•デス・リボン・レボリューション / Death Ribbon Revolution (214LP/HP)

Geese's Reppuken, better of the two grounded fireballs


• デスドライブ・ブレイク / Death Drive Break (412364HP)

Seems to be based off of Uranus Desperation. Multiple hits ending in a backdashed Death Ribbon Revolution. You can buffer a Press Crusher during the desperation and use it instead, which is typically preferred.


• Unblockable 5LK (far) & 5HK (far)

Due to poor coding, triggering the guard animation against Sailor Saturn’s far version of 5LK and 5HK is not possible (unless the opponent is in block-stun).


• Unblockable 5HK (close)

While the close version of 5HK is an unblockable move, it is still possible to block it. While stand guarding, Sailor Saturn’s close version of 5HK can be blocked between distances 25~37. While crouch guarding, the distances will lessen to 25~32. Additionally, the move can be blocked if the opponent is in block-stun.
