As the titular character of the game, he's a well-balanced character that's easy for beginners to get into, with easy-to-execute combos and a pretty decent HP and defense - and he's got an air throw! However, his easiness to get into means it's also easy to deal with some of his schenanigans and it's tricky to incorporate his Secret Techniques into longer combos. It's also worth noting that he can transform into his Kyuubi form. However, it's a high-risk high-reward situation - while Naruto's combos change and his attack power rises, his durability becomes worse than that of Akamaru.
